Without actually hearing material by Joe I don't think you can call him a 'Leon mould.'
I was thinking lately Joe could have some excellent material if people like Gary Barlow were to get behind him. If Take That were on the XF you wouldn't really believe they were relevant enough to launch a pop career but they're one of the most successful British acts out there right now. I think they've proven that you don't need to be RnB or what ever to score hit singles. If you're talented enough people recognise that.

Perhaps you should read my post a bit more carefully. My point about Leon/Joe comparison was that
"he's pretty good and goes about his business in a professional manner, and because he's prepered to listen and learn instead of acting the big i am, he's improving with every performance" also fits Leon as well as Joe. Leon was shocking at first, took advice and grew and grew with every performance.
If you're talented, people don't necessarily see that either, hence Laura White's single flopped. You don't have to be talented to forge a successful career, and having talent doesn't mean you'll get one. I'm not denying he can sing, but imo he doesn't have a recording voice and he won't last. IMO he sounds the worst out of the lot on the charity single and completely ruins it.
Also just because he has sung a variety of songs also doesn't mean he is relevant. Versatility is irrelevant, its just something brainwashed to us on X Factor. Recording artists stick to their strengths. In turn that means Danyl, Olly and Stacey have largely stuck to their strengths during the live shows. Joe can do anything, but his performances to me seem very empty. He is just singing them and puts nothing into them. If a singer doesn't really 'feel' a song then it just doesn't work, and Joe is just a good karaoke singer. I don't think he has done performance of the week at all.
