Nothing to do with Religion should be in Serious Debates really, nothing positive anyway, as Religion is very much a funny topic. We have had a good old chuckle in this thread tonight.

ok, Well, I really don't consider myself to be a rude person but I don't know how you expect to start a thread telling people they shouldn't be allowed celebrate Chriatmas and not expect to be argued with???

It's not like I'm saying non-christians shouldn't celebrate it, UI'm asking what everyone thinks on the subject seeing as it's a christian based holiday.

I find it hillarious that Philip finds what Niamh posted rude when Philip has no reason to celebrate the religious aspect of Christmas either. Niamh is dead right. What are religious people going to do to stop us from enjoying Christmas?

Christmas is a national holiday regardless of religion so non christians are entitled to make the most of it too.

It is a good question. Being buddhist If you are saying "should celebrate?", I feel very uncomfortable. I have to think,,,,. Actually I do exchange Xmas cards, presents and having Xmas dinner. My case I have no alternative as my husband is Christian. But my Buddhist friends who live alone, they do the same in Xmas season and enjoy together with mixed religious people as holiday. It is nothing wrong with beliving bibles. I wish my husband is more religious. I go to church if it is my Christinan friends' wedding or funeral. If we respect other religious, the world will be more peaceful. This is a Christian country and I (and all my friends) highly against some local council banning Xmas for non Chiristian. | |||
