Was just reading up on it and it is now a criminal offence in the UK under these guidelines.

* (a) an act which threatens a person’s life,
* (b) an act which results, or is likely to result, in serious injury to a person’s anus, breasts or genitals,
* (c) an act which involves or appears to involve sexual interference with a human corpse,
* (d) a person performing or appearing to perform an act of intercourse or oral sex with an animal (whether dead or alive),

Also fanasty sites are banned. Yet we see violent pornography in almost every slasher movie.
Could watching such images make people actually go out and do the acts themself?

I watched a porno not so long ago where a guy rammed this bird's head down the toilet while he bummed her. It never really made me want to. There's better places to put her and the tiles in my bathroom hurt my knees too much last time I had some in there.

Now I prefer my balcony.

a,b,c,d - they all seem pretty reasonable guidelines to me. Certainly wouldn't want to know anyone interested in performing the acts of a,c,or d.

This also could apply to the Bulger case, apprently they were influnced by violent films. Also the more recent one, where one of the boys managed to survive.

Where can they draw the line though? Do they blame Coronation Street for people who murder their neighbours? I've seen dead bodies. Anyone who would even think about *******ing one doesn't need locking up but shooting in the head with a rusty gun.

Indeed, I guess it takes a certian type of person to even get off at that stuff, even if they don't act it out.

I do think that, undoubtedly, some people are influenced by violence, sexual violence - we hear about it often - although some, of course, will just use that as an excuse for their own perversions. We have to have reasonable guidelines. You will always get people who will automatically want to do what they are not allowed to do and challenge the rules - just because they are pricks - but people have to know what will and won't be tollerated by society as a whole.
