Single player have generally been easier for a few years ago compared to the days of Mega Drive/Genesis and SNES etc although they have added extra difficulty levels on some.
I love the whole "can't complete unless on hard" idea. It rewards the better gamers which i am probably not one of unfortunately.

I don't think that's a big enough problem to be taken seriously though. I mean, if you are playing on secure servers on PC or Xbox Live/PSN, how often are you likely on average to stumble into a game where hackers are dominating?
