That's true but I just hate when they use children as leverage on the show. I mean it's kinda obvious that you want to work hard for the benefit of your children, but you don't have to make a song and dance about it. You just hear the same spiel all the time on these shows when the reality is that they're there to become more famous.

People have their reasons for going on Celebrity Big Brother - a deep-rooted hunger for fame and attention due to psychological issues relating to a bad childhood, that sort of thing - but it seems Nicola T's is much more straightforward than that: cold hard cash.

According to her mates who probably don't have all that much loyalty after she called one of them "a total slag" on TV, Nicola is in £35,000 of debt thanks to getting a bit enthusiastic with the old credit cards.

Even though she's engaged to some footballer or other (but we're not talking Becks - this bloke's called Simon Walton and he plays for Plymouth Argyle. We've barely heard of the team, let alone the player), Nicola has been struggling financially despite getting an allowance from her fella. Better hope his team gets promoted soon, eh? (Can someone else do the football-related gag please? We really don't get it)

"Nic earned lots as a model but since she met Simon that has stopped," says a friend who should probably be stopped herself from flogging these quotes to the press if she were a real friend.

Nicola also told the same pal: “I’m almost skint. I’ve just been treating my cards like they are cash but not realising I am not earning what I once did. It must look like I have money as I live in a nice house but that’s all Simon.

“I want to clear my debts and that is the reason I am going in. I want to start married life with Simon as an equal.”

It's thought that Nicola's getting paid around £50,000 for going on BB - and she should make a quid or two after the show too. That should help pay off those credit cards, which she's apparently been using to pay for taxis, furniture, a deposit on a BMW, baby clothes... and the intensive grooming regime of her two miniature dogs.

You know what I mean though. She's there to become more famous and earn dough which is fair enough and she actually put herself in debt through massive over expenditure anyway. There's loadsa women in her position around the country who are working hard and struggling to support their kids... I don't know, you just hear it alot on these shows.

Watching the bit I missed on +1 now, just worked out who Sisqo reminds me of - Kel from Kenan and Kel! Anyone see it?

Yeah but I'm sure if those women had the easier option of earning £50k (or whatever it is) for sitting in a house for 3 weeks rather than work hard for much less, they'd do it, I know I would!

Yeah I get what you mean but once you have children your world revolves around them. More celebs than usual probs wanted to get on the final series of CBB. Working in the media world is probs not always a work in a park, work can dry up easily. Well most people are in the same boat in the recession!

Nicola should consider herself lucky though, to be in this position which I think she does, it is just natural to miss your kids!

I am watching 60 min makeover. I like the last 15 minutes of the show when you see a room to how it was before to the transformation
