I locked Tom's thread,for peace mainly but it wasn't exactly the nicest topic to have out there. Although as has been said,Tom's was about it being on the news too much,Patrick you were saying it seemed to be getting too much money.

I was thinking of Hurricane Katrina (scary name init) when writing that post, but did it get as much attention and donations as this it?

let me try and put this into perspective for you:

Ireland has a population of 4 million people.
Haiti is a quarter of the size of Ireland and has a population of 10 million. It was extremely poverty stricken BEFORE these TWO earth quakes. Now it is essentially an over sized squalor. If you can not see the need for the mass support and media attention, then you are beyond the point of salvation.
