I don't get why your debating this. If you don't have to marry a man, it shouldn't be a problem. Unless ofcourse you are going to marry a man and you're simply curious if you're marriage would work.
"Women are different and need to keep a mate etc they counterbalance the male urges etc and thus the 2 are well suited." Not true. Hence why men are gay, they don't like women. End of. Everybody is different and wether you choose to believe it or not, being gay/lesbian is normal these days. So yes, gay weddings work as much as a straight wedding. Both can be as happy as each partner makes it, it's not down to ones sexuality at all.
