It's sad that just because somebody is different, people automatically assume it's an act. If she came on stage wearing jeans and a vest, nobody would assume she's an act.

Michael, she has created that persona. Granted, she is being consistant with it, but thats what will make her sell records, and be believable. She will always act that way, and try to be more and more outrageous, because, thats what people like about her.

Everything she does is very theatrical, and out there. I much prefer it, to the boring drones out there who all look the same, or copy someone else. SHe has her influences, Grace Jones is obviously one of them (that should tell you its not her real persona), but she brings in her unique style, and its enjoyable.

Exactly, take away her image and you're left with pretty generic electropop with some songs bordering on europop.

I agree that it's an act.. but to some extent.
I believe that the crazy costumes and quirky persona is a whole different person to Stefani.. however I do believe that Stefani genuinally is GaGa.. if that makes sense?

Kinda like Jekyll/Hyde.
I think GaGa is the creative/quirky/confident side to Stefani, who is just your average talented young girl.

I don't think LG puts on an act, she's herself, not fake and eccentric which I really like about her. As for the fashion I say good on her for wearing it, if she likes it and is comfortable then who are we to criticise?.. LG wouldn't be who she is if she constantly worried about what public opinion about her would be.
