Your not exactly flying the flag very well for the sobreity brigade. I'm not an advocate of Mephedrone but he can drink the contents of a Lynx can and smoke a fag through his ass for all I care as long as it's not compromising my own health and safety.

I don't do the stuff. Anymore.

Popping up all over the gaf they are. We have like eight in the city now. I'm wondering when the next one will go up in flames due to angry dealers.
If you want to interpret me expressing my opinion as trouble-making, go ahead - rather hypocritical of you I think! I think the guy is an idiot for coming onto a predominantly teen forum to allegedly discuss taking drugs for highs and where to get hold of them - especially bearing in mind he claims he is 39. His intentions seem dubious to say the least.

I don't give a damn what he does - it is where he does it that is obviously the issue! The point you seem to me missing that is if such a discussion should influence any of the younger members to indulge in something suggested on this forum - he is compromising their health and safety! In my eyes, and many more I suspect, that makes him a complete twat!

Was going to say "Wow, Ross, you can be a douchebag sometimes." but it was 4 months ago. I think I hated you then too. Coincidence?

Your not giving the other members a lot of credit here. Teenagers know that drugs exist around them. A few rambling posts from a dyslexic party boy is not going to suddenly create a burning desire in the minds of some of the younger members to go out and inject Opium into their balls.

Would you have had the same reaction if I started a thread to discuss the best wines or cigarette brands? No. Because your perception is clouded by the evil deeeeeerugz.

Your opinion seems reasonable as long as you think the same about people discussing alcohol on here.

They are legal simply from the viewpoint that they havent yet been banned because of their effect on the body, sooner or later someone may actually research their long term effects on the body and then no doubt they will be banned. Lat year the UK Government banned several substances feted as Legal Highs. (Spice, GBL, BZP)

We do however have studies on the long term effects of alcohol in general both in the damage to the individual and also to society in general. If it was a substance that had just been brought in for recreational use chances are it would be banned too. However like tobacco its a nice little earner for government by way of taxes. So it wont be banned in the near future. Attempts are underway to reduce alcohol abuse including studies looking at the possibility to price alcohol by strength with minimum prices so supermarkets etc cant use it a loss leader.

The aforementioned mephedrone is probably next on the list because its sold as a plant food product. However it has had more than a little bad publicity in the media. Its banned in several European countries now because of its dangers.

Last Year Doctor David Nutt who was chair on the Advisory Council for the Misuse of Drugs was sacked because he criticised the Governments policy on drugs stating that ecstasy etc was safer than a lot of the so called legal highs because they knew what its effects both long term and short term on the body. It had undergone rigorous tests. They also knew its chemical composition.

Because of the problem of as soon as one substance is banned someone else sidesteps the law by changing its composition slightly and creates a replacement, a consultation paper is under way, looking at the legalities of actually banning all mood/physiological altering chemical substances if found on a person and there is no reason to have it. For example although mephedrone is sold as a garden fertiliser, why would a teenager at a rave need tablets of it?

Most commercial lagers are pish. No ifs or buts.

Why do you want the same effect as smoking "weed" op

is that not the same as going to a bakers and asking if they have anything that tastes like a sausage roll

Not sure what you are getting at here, I agree with pretty much everything you said, but still this is no different to discussing alcohol on the forum. Thousands of years of testing and it's still dangerous as fuck. So we are discussing possible dangerous drugs as opposed to, say, discussing a drug that is definately dangerous. For the record I'm not an advocate of Mephedrone. It works amazingly well in small doses but it's very moreish and constant users tend to go off the rails on the stuff.

Lagers are pish, but that's some peoples thing .

Well as you are not, as far as I am aware, a qualified psychologist - I will take that comment with the pinch of salt it deserves. And I certainly don't support encouraging under 18s to drink so I wouldn't be overly impressed with that either. I also don't smoke - as I have seen the effects it has. A complete bore in your book, no doubt, but a healthy one!

Vice versa, as usual with you. You are no qualified psychologist either so you were in no position to assume people on here would be influenced by Beso's posts. As it stands I have the ability to utilize common sense in situations like these. I personally don't think we should post news stories about any criminal activity. Next thing you know Twilight and PJ will be banged up for the assault and molestation of a pensioner.

Nice to see your ability to make assumptions about others is as healthy as you are in all other manners of your glorious, ever prevelant existence. Why would I think people who don't smoke are boring? Get a grip on yourself.

My point being if the OP wants to know about the ins and outs of Legal Highs he would be better using google and then reading up on them at a forum specifically for them, as opposed to asking a mixed forum such as this. which will not only deal with the effects both good and bad on the body but which can also give a better idea as to the legality of the differing substances in the area he resides. Its pointless getting his heart set on one substance if its not legal where he lives now is it?

While its within his rights to ask such questions on this forum, this may not be the best place to receive unbiaised educated advice. Thats not dissing anyone who has offered advice to him.

Aha no doubt, no doubt. It's really puzzling why TiBB was his first stop. Especially with sites like Erowid and Drugs Forum around where people can offer you correct, articulated pharmacological advice.

Not necessarily - Common sense (or, when used attributively as an adjective, commonsense, common-sense, or commonsensical).
