Yeah burn the gingers on public places like we used to. That was fun. Good values are gone I'm afraid.

I have offered plenty of arguments. You conveniently choose to target me on the one I did not wish to argue. Spare me your tedious patronization and join my campaign to shut down all cinemas, concerts and other staged entertainment events. People are dying sick. This is no time to laugh at Ricky Gervais.

In America plenty of capital punishment cases actually cost a whole lot more, considering the lenghty appeal process and various other legislative nuances.

Oops.

Nah your mate Hare puts it at less than 1% thats 1 in 100. Even then the percentage out of those that he rates would be dangerous is even smaller.

Havent you been warned about that before Stu, using facts and logical thought to provide weight to your view in an argument? Thats just so unfair.

I too fear the possibility of inoccent persons being executed but in view of the mass murders and mass cost to the criminal system of keeping killers locked up it is imperitive we break away from this mamby pamby society and bring justice to cold blooded murderers.......

They should also bring capital punishment to drug dealers.
Great idea, actually instead of throwing money at the courts why don't we just kill anyone accused of a crime ourselves? It could be something to do on a sunday night, walking around the streets murdering people in the name of justice......

No matter what how you say it capital punishment is murder and it's hypocritcal to it's core.

No. There'd always be a chance that the person you're about to kill for whatever crime it is, is actually innocent. The risk of killing innocent people who have been falsely convicted for crimes they didn't commit would deter me from ever supporting capital punishment.

If you look at the article on Timothy Evans on Wikipedia you'll see why capital punishment is a generally bad idea. That man was executed for killing his daughter, when he was actually innocent. It took 16 years until they realised that he hadn't done it and was given a posthumous pardon, but that's not good enough. They killed an innocent man.

That's why capital punishment should never come back.

Had a very interesting conversation over Xmas with my American cousin who is a prosecuting attorney over there and it just highlighted to me how the society you're raised in does mould alot of your principles and ethics on certain things. I mean, Capital Punishment is widely accepted over there whereas we for the most part abhor it. Would we feel any differently if we grew up in a culture that embraces it?

Well look at when Ted Bundy was killed. People cheered, and turned it into a carnival. Songs, T-shirts, masks, everything!!! Cheering at someone dying is quite sick, and that is coming from me!!!

I didn't know about the Bundy Burger! The Seattle area is very nice actually and it must have gone mad during that period. I've gone on the pi$$ in the University district on a few occassions, where he was no doubt on the prowl.

Indeed, he was still quite calualated then though. It was the second time he escpaped he totally lost it. When he got to Florida and started really regressing, stealing and that. Plus the vicious Chi Omega attacks, he was like a animal foaming at he mouth. I mean, he espcapes from prison, manages to get to Florida and still could not control his ugres to kill, mad really. Don't think i'll ever be able to understand it. Also alot of people forget alcohol was a big factor, not just porn.

He was born with faulty wiring and his upbringing didn't help matters, that's all. Alcohol and porn just fed what was already inside him.

He didn't have a too bad upbringing compared to some serial killers really. And yeah he was definitely a very dramatic example of a Psychopath

Well, his whole mother acting like his sister and not finding out till later on in life couldn't have helped matters. But yeah, it was a case of bad wiring for me.

Indeed, plus there was also the speculation that his Grandfather was actually his dad. Apparently he used to throw his mum and sisters down the stairs as well, also torutue animals infront of Ted. And yeah, you seen his final interview??? Porn was a total cop out lol

I mean, there may be some truth in the fact that it fed his imagination, but to blame it all on porn was his one last desperate act to excuse himself. He was a sadistic killer. Simple.
