No, I can accept the odd idiot on a door if it means that they can deal with the shi4 that goes on every single night in those clubs. I've worked behind the bar for years and jesus, if they weren't around we'd have been in the shi$ big time. Places would be closed lol.

No I wasn't. I worked behind the bar and was thankful for their backup on many occassions. You'll always get the odd numpty, just like you do with the Garda, but sure I'm willing to accept that.

I worked in 2 bars in London without bouncers and we never had problems that couldn't be handled

It is good to have both.. policeman/woman AND bouncers. Police are more intelligent usually and have to learn about the laws and all that etc.. some people with the strength of a policeman would not be able to get into the force because they would not be intelligent enoygh to pass the exams so they opt to be a bouncer.. some of them. If any trouble the bouncer steps in and hopefully holds onto the piece of **** until the coppers come. It is a good thing police and bouncers joining forces. A bit like teachers and parents should join forces. (In most cases)

I don't think this should be just about women though - I know a few lads too who like to tell you everything that's happened to them, whether you'd like to hear about it or not! Mind numbing stuff.
