¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Often equally hopeless. Like - the number of people here who will just go day by day without exploring music and just willingly digesting whatever BBC Radio 1 or The X Factor dictates is rather sad. Music is an art form. It's supposed to be explored and enjoyed in a creative way - the majority of it is created for a reason that isn't to make money - it's to explore emotion, to tackle real-life issues, to declare love, to get a massive point off your chest.
I'm more than not criticising the state of music today when actually it's probably quite brilliant, but as usual the best and most exciting acts are sidelined for the more commercial acts and from the looks of things that works. The only thing that really keeps me going and posting on this site is the fact that the majority of these absolutely braindead nodders are under the age of 15 and around that age I was pretty much the same. With exposure to older and alternative styles that thankfully changed - there was a time when I did say I hated the Beatles, because it seemed like the rebellious or funny thing to say. Only when you've actually listened to the variety and volume of their work - from the imaginative, delirious highness of I Am The Walrus to your standard anthem like Hey Jude - can you actually have a leg to stand on.
