Aaah the innocence of youth.

Invade, poke, hide the sausage, = do something that grown ups do when they love each other.

You here this stuff about kids being killed over Bebo and Facebook and then someone was murdered over Twitter a few months back.

LOL @JohnSmith *bang* u dead nw 4 realz

No but seriously, I think the people to blame are obviously the sicko that kills the person but the idiot who agrees to meet up with a stranger online.

'Hey wuu2?'
'Nm hun, watching telly wbu?'
'same, so hey wanna go meet me at a field?'
'sure why not <3'
..Dead

I would never ever meet anyone in person that i've met online and I have spoke and made alot of mates with people on Youtube/Bebo/MSN and TiBB since joining but I would never go meet them not because I dont want to get killed but quite frankly I cant be arsed.

Facebook isn't to blame for these problems, but the people who take advantage of other users. Being a social networking site, Facebook is inevitably going to come with the usual risks associated with any kind of social life or even... leaving the house.

That's true. But leaving the house doesn't excite the media........

I was always taught to not give out private information online..
Everyone is generally taught that.. people are quite ignorant in ignoring that.

Nowadays i dont really mind i can give out where i live on facebook.. i think i know 98% of my friends.. and those other sort of 2 - 4 people what will they actually do with my address..

A lot of parents are morons when it comes to computer safety. They don't realise how much harm can be caused just by simply revealing a few details over the internet. Not only that but it is so easy for hackers to gather your bank details if you don't have sufficient protection. It's the parents responsibility to monitor their child's activity on the computer.

It's relatively safe to meet people from online. You just gotta be smart about it. I wouldn't meet anyone who I have only seen in a few pictures. It's easy to steal them and create a new identity for yourself. I'd also have to hear their voice, you get a good idea of what they're like from how they talk to you.

Yes very true Enid, here are my top two tips:

Always go armed, a pistol and a taser should be sufficient.

Always take backup. Nothing mucks up a rapists day more than a pistol in the base of the skull at the moment of penetration.
