Oh god where do you start.
A lot of public sectors were privatised under Thatcher and as a result the costs went up. One of their main priorities was to fix high employment, yet this caused loss of jobs as did the closing of certain industries.
Transport and housing were cut. More cuts in higher education and right to buy policy making gap between rich and poor even wider.
VAT went up and they created poll tax- despite saying they were attempting to tame inflation.
Then there were the stupid and unnecessary wars (mirrors today I guess).
Thats just off the top of my head tbh and thats most likely how it will end up again.
IMO healthcare, work and education are the most important things- screw anything else, you won't get far without those. And cuts will be made in all of them under another Tory government.
