But they do nothing for the continuation of gay rights. Normal gays please. Like Richard, Michael and Tim But BB has always been about stereotypes. The gay one is just one of many they go for. I guess they dont have time to get to root personality in the audition process so just have to go with the more obvious. Michael and Tim I can't instantly remember. Richard I thought was quite queeny just in a more mature way. He was always quoting Mean girls ffs! Oh yeah, and those gay stereotypes very much exist in the real world too! Some kids are gay too and its important for them to see people they can relate to. No, I don't expect you to understand that. |

and I don't get your point about kids watching these programmes. Being gay is accepted in the UK, more so than most countries, its part of our society. By not showing it and everyone closing their eyes to it doesn't make it go away but just increases future problems. Its great that there are gay storlyines and people on major TV shows, it educates people from very young to accept it and hopefully this will lead to better lives for gay people in the future. If you truely think that gay people aren't normal, and aren't just trying to be controversial, then I don't respect you or your views and think your an idiot |

I agree. It sends out the message "all gay people are flamboyant queens." I'd love to have a couple of totally non-camp gay guys. I don't think there's ever been any in BB.

This is BB not a real life study. We want personalities. Sexuality is a huge part of a persons make up.
Of course not all gay people are camp. Duh. But for the sake of entertainment its better that their gayness is shoved in peoples faces. It winds up other HMs and can be funny to see. BB is all about the dynamics and OTT HMs shake up the house. Straight guys are not usually loud and camp. So its down to gays to fill that role. Unfortunately. |
