I think he's too smart and ambitious to ever be a failure. The chat show just wasn't his thing thats all. I think he was set on bigger things at that point anyhow.

His stand up isn't great, his acting is lousy and his tv presenting was reliant on Big Brother. I'd be very surprised if we're talking about him in a few years time.
