they can back who they like its not sad! if someone wanted to back a housemate just based on where they are from then thats up to them! but i think Raph was joking judging by the haha and the wink smilie!

To be honest if a housemate is entertaining and fun etc then we would like them anyway but if they were from our country/area we might like them a bit more!
