A lazy but thorougly stupid Scotsman. From 1976 and up until 2006 the English had the same number of Bank Holidays as the Scottish had public and local holidays. These are called statutory holidays.
However in 2006 the St. Andrew's Day Bank Holiday (Scotland) Act 2007 was passed making 30th November a public holiday.
So if you want extra days off best get back up to Scotland.
