Not specifically about this wardrobe but about something that absolutely had been in early consideration and planning stages a few years ago for (at least) BBUSA,
but,
may well have been floated back or forth with BBUK.

The idea was this:
A secret 'crawlspace' was proposed for the 'Alice in Wonderland' theme and of course called 'The Rabbit Hole'.
It was meant to be part of a house which was full of riddles and puzzles built into the decor.

The proposed plot would have a house guest (HM) led to solve and find a secret tunnel which would allow them to crawl and slide down a little passage and end up underneath a bed in the 'HoH room'.
[here it helps to know BBUSA rules and why this is massive and ultimate eavesdropping]

I had heard under the bed and in another version behind the bedroom wall somewhere (the old scooby-doo false painting idea).

Sorry but I don't remember exactly why the plan was scrapped but the strangest thing is that even by BB3 many HMs were already actually looking for architecture, secret rooms etc.
In BB5 the guys actually went about measuring walls trying to formulate that there was another section that may be housing evicted HMs who could see them.
So it might be that was part of the reason the 'rabbit hole' or in this case the 'Narnia wardrobe' secret eavesdropping room/hiding spot' was never done?

But yes - this idea was definitely created and got as far as 'early planning stages' before.

Since this is the last BBUK I am really really hoping they do it. I always thought it was a clever thing.

[btw.. i have not seen all the BB UK seasons or followed all the other international ones so someone here might tell me someone DID do this once before in a BB house??]

Don't know if you saw the prison task in BB7??

I got a little confused whilst reading that lol so I'm hoping that this has something to do with what you were talking about. Feel free to tell me if not .

In BB7 the House next door was turned into a prison, and the prisoners received a cake which had a key to secret spa. To get into the spa they had to pull away a bed and crawl through a tunnel behind it and then they were in the spa. They're task was to hide the Spa's existence from the other housemates who were the prison officers in the main house that had to inspect the prison regularly.
