Well a 30/37 year old man trying to make JJ think Shabby hates him so JJ will be isolated and only be in 'Ben's group'is a bit childish.

Ben should be old enough now to accept that his friends can have other friends.

That's overly dramatic,he never tried to make JJ hate her,he thought he was advising a friend,but it seems not.
