The booing is horrible and is all down to Davin McCall's useless, inept skills as a host by allowing it to happen (although her bosses aren't exonerated by not getting involved).

If I was the host and compering a crowd I would never allow booing or jeering to happen then describing it as nothing more than "pantomime" as its not acceptable behaviour. I would tell people to stop booing politely, and if it persistent I'd threaten to have them removed.

The housemates aware of booing does effect how they behave in the house.

Big Brother 4 for example turned into a snore because I remember the house mates became obsessed with the crowd's reaction and worried about being booed, they used to discuss it in the house.
