Where do you get that from? It's more of western food being sold there that is causing their problems.

Really? I would have thought it had more to do with the growing middle class in China, by extension, growing availability of food in general.

Actually there are growing markets for cheap western food, along with the full range of food additives and trans fats that go with it, in China. It has been similar to the way health was better in Eastern Europe before they were flooded with western foodstuffs.
