Found this nice piece on Counterfeit religions;

This is true, but the word cult has picked up some Jonestown et al baggage since the term's become popular, and I don't know if I'd go so far as to call Dave's little group a cult. They still believe in Biblical creation, Jesus, salvation, and the afterlife, even the arbitrary moral codes against homosexuality etc. The verses they take out of context are the same ones every other evangelical group does. They make money in the most glaringly hypocritical ways, but so do the most established. Have you seen megachurches? I don't see the difference besides scale and musical preference.

I have changed my mind again on Dave, I am sorry to say that I have to retract my OP. I have done some reading and watch a few videos, and I have to say I don't like the man behind the BB face that he shows us, or what he stands for.
