I would have enough sense not to put myself up for a show like that! And I don't think JJ has given her mixed signals (and I am not a fan of JJ) - she has read into it what she wanted to! She fell for him because of his looks - and now whines because he doesn't feel the same way about her! The DR thing was an emotional attachment - not a physical one, she is trying to force him into fancying her - and he doesn't, she can't make him fancy her!
