Thank God, I was beginning to think no one else realised. The main problem i have aswell is that because Ben is metrosexual with weird hair and a bit quirky. People seem to take his snide comments as part of his quirkiness, and therefore part of his appeal.

It is because David has seen the light. Ben is negative, and makes snide comments about everyone all the time. I am happy Ben is being left out, maybe it will make him realise he is selfish.
