With Skins Series 5 being just 5 months away with it comes a new generation of Sex-mad drug taking college students. But who will be entering Roundview College for two years of mayhem? In just one hour we will find out, but first let’s take a look at the first generation...

Generation one brought Cassie, Michelle, Tony, Anwar, Sid, Chris, Jal and Maxxie,

Tony was very much in love with Michelle, a very centural character who led the first episode of the show we now know and love. Tony was run over by a bus at the end of Series 1.

Cassie was mad and beautiful. Kooky but excellent. She fell for Sid.A very outrageous character who seemed very mysterious at times.

Michelle was sexy, cool and in love with Tony, but Sid also fancied her.

Anwar was best mates with Maxxie and a very funny character. He loved nothing more than having a good laugh with his friends.

Sid was geeky and funny, he thought he had no chance with Michelle though she took pity on him.

Chris was outrageous, he seemed to be having fun all the time. He fell for his teacher.

Jal was a classical musician and loved to play her clarinet, her best friend was Michelle.

Maxxie was gay and was best friends with Anwar.
But then came Generation 2, and a whole new ball game...

Along came Generation 2 and a whole new cast that were introdouced to the public via the E4 website in late Summer 2008.

Effy, who we were originally introduced to in Series 1 was quiet, mysterious and stuck between two men, Freddie and Cook. She was Tonys sister.

Freddie’s mum had died and he was very much in love with Effy although she couldn’t decide between him and his best friend Cook. He was also friends with JJ.

Cook would sleep with anyone. He was outrageous, rude but kept his morals.

JJ was mad sometimes, he loved Freddie and Cook as mates and fell in love with Lara in Series 4.

Katie was Emily’s twin and obviously the less shy one. She had a footballer boyfriend in Series 3.

Thomas was from the congo originally and fell in love with kooky but adorable Pandora.

Naomi was a beautiful idealist who fell in love with Emily.

Emily was shy about her feelings for Naomi. She was passionate and enthusiastic.

Pandora, obviously the fun sweetheart of the group was in love with Thomas.
So there you have it, the first two generations of Skins summed up quickly. In about 50 minutes we’ll be meeting a brand new lot ready to enter the doors of Roundview for two years. But just what can we expect? Let’s have a look at what MIGHT happen-

Karen, who was introduced in Series 3 was only a small role as Freddie’s sister, maybe we’ll learn more about her, she is younger than Freddie.

James Fitch, Katie and Emily’s brother is certainly growing up and looks to be in at least Year 9, maybe he’ll ‘do an Effy’ and be a Generation 3 regular?

Whatever springs our way we can sure look forward to two more years of Skins.

It's pretty much impossible to judge them as we haven't even seen a picture of them in character or know ANYTHING about the characters themselves. Judging from the looks of the characters you can tell what character archetypes some will be though. I do hope they mix it up and don't rely on similar themes as the past two generations have.

I was kinda hoping we'd get more info on the characters though.

Looks lise it's not a bad cast though, that Freya's quite beautiful.

They're okay, Alex, Sean, Laya and Jessica are awsome.

I auditioned for this and although I didn't get picked, I got a great experience from the auditions. I can't see anyone who I recognise from my group in the cast photo but maybe they've changed their looks since the audition.

I actually like the appearance of the cast. and Freya looks well fit. We'll have to wait a lot longer to get to know the characters and stuff. But I think it should be interesting.
