Just let it scan, it might take a while, going through your whole computer. \the infected files, you will get to delete them, when the scan is done.
Sounds like you got it right.

Does it usually take this long?

It says Infected: 228

And Counting I guess, And it's scanned over 22,0000.
Depends on how many files you have on your hard disc, the size of your hard disc and the speed of your computer processors. just let it do its thing and dont worry about it Patrick, malwarebytes is good.

Thanks Everyone, got it fixed now using The Malwarebytes.

To Quote Corin: 'Im Buzzin'.

I actually thought my computer was screwed, it's good to hear I wasn't the only one that got this though.
Thanks again for your help and time

Good stuff,Patrick.
My advice would be to run a short scan once a week and a full scan once a month but ALWAYS update it before you run a scan.

I downloaded malwarebytes and tried it out, it has scanned half this laptop and already found 4 infected objects.

Theres enough of them Patrick, and enough that are free to last a good few years pmsl.

Its not just limewire, some torrent files will carry them as well, always scan before opening any file you aint sure of. Download only off "respected" torrent sites that have either closed membership or 100% checks of all torrents, at least until a lot of people have downloaded and checked it for you.
