Nah.. it's not snobby. It has it's affluent areas like any city but the city centre is just a bustling mix of student/tourists/visitors (and locals obviously)

There's really ancient pubs in the Royal Mile which are great.. some you have to look for as they are down steep closes etc but are really old and quaint
