Unhappy Closure On My Big Brother 'Obsession'.

[PEOPLE WHO WILL ATTACK ME FOR BEING NEGATIVE PLEASE GET OUT AND DON'T READ ON]

Anyone else feeling like the producers pathetic job on BB11 and Ultimate BB is like 'closure' of their Big Brother experience?

I never thought I'd say this but now the more stuff I hear about Ultimate BB the more I'm disliking Big Brother, they've ruined my favourite TV show this year tbh.

They royally f-cked it up big time.

If the line up for Ultimate BB is true then this is officially the end of my Big Brother 'Obsession' the only reason I am watching UBB is to put an end to Big Brother for myself, even though I have no choice because it IS coming to an end but I just mean after this crap series I'm never going to forget what a low Big Brother went out on.

I will continue to rewatch good memories like BB5-10 after this but by god, I Couldn't give a sh*t anymore because the fact they put Mikey Hughes in to represent BB9 was just the final nail in the coffin for me, that's what made me just despise this show.

I've started off loving Big Brother more and more and now this year every little thing the producers did has ruined every good memory I ever had.

In a few years when looking back on Big Brother, the pathetic UBB cast will be stuck in my mind as it was the last thing we saw.

Before, I genuinely thought I would cry on the last episode, now I probably won't even shed one tear.
If this is the 'Bang' they were talking about, then I've lost all respect for them.

So Ultimate Big Brother really is just the closure of my Big Brother Obsession now due to the poor cast they have set up, I just can't continue even liking this bull any longer after this summer.

The only way I will change my mind and stuff and continue loving this show and forget all about the producers mistakes is if they put a decent BB9 housemate in All Stars, but now even the bookies are taking odds on the Daily Star's line up, so it must be true now.

Anyone else in this position?

It really is a horrible, sad feeling when you no longer love a show that's became a big part of your life for 7 years.

Addicts sometimes replace one addiction with another. Maybe you'll never get over your BB fix, maybe you'll start sniffing around something else lol

This series has practically ruined Big Brother for me. I'm fairly happy with the rumoured UBB line-up, but after BB11, I am convinced they will ruin it with silly gimmicks, stupid music/graphics, next to no alcohol, intervening during argumensts, a crap pool, I could go on. I've given up hope - instead I'm hoping to be proved wrong.

This series has been totally abbhorent and without a shadow of a doubt the worst one I have ever watched. All the problems started from the first night - a dull cast that did not gel and have not really provided much entertainment. As much as I like John, he is no BB legend. He's just one of the best out of this very dire cast. Sam is the only close thing we have to a BB legend - and he should've been in this series from the start.

They have relied on silly gimmicks this series to pull in viewers - Jedward, although funny, was a new low. And sending housemates out of the house and putting people in, totally defeating the premise of the show, is ludicrous.

The lack of alcohol, punishments and the fact that everything is so politically correct is another reason why I will be glad when it's all over. Big Brother is a show that is meant to portray reality and not stop people doing things they would in the real world...i.e drink/argue.

And finally - after everything that has been dull and crap about this series, we at last get an opportunity to have an unpredictable, exciting, close final four between John, Sam, Corin and Josie - and then the producers go and pull what I can only describe as one of the worst production decisions I have ever seen on any show ever. It's series suicide and has completely robbed us fans of a great end to this abbhorent mess of a series. I feel it's a final '**** you' to us fans, as well as being a money-grabbing excercise and a blatant ploy to engineer a Josie win. A complete and utter farce.

It's sad, sad day when a small group of incompetent producers can ruin a once loved and iconic TV show.

RIP, Big Brother.

Your obsession over them putting a BB9 housemate in is actually bordering on being scary.

BB10 wasn't even half as good (or good at all) as this year in terms of production. They're going all out, it isn't pathetic at all.

It's nice that we have notice about it ending, usually with my obsessions it's very abrupt and horrible. And I've loved this series,my favourite in years and I'm really happy there's been a great couple in the last series.

They're going all out to make sure it's bullsh*t.

They are trying to hard, I get what you mean and they are putting effort in in terms of tasks and stuff but they fail at thinking things through, for example this horrendous eviction idea was clearly thought off during a coffee break or something on Saturday afternoon and then they went and told us on the website, forgetting it's a vote to evict.

I think this series has been awful but I never expected much from it. I learnt the past few years not to expect much from BB. I haven't loved BB since BB7.

TBH Patrick it's been shoddy on their part since BB7. For me personally, my BB 'obsession' died when they put Nikki back in as it showed how obviously producer-controlled BB is.

BB11 has been the only series I've watched non-stop throughout since BB7. BB8 was rubbish, BB9 was good for about 4 weeks and BB10 was horrendous.

Watcing the 1st episode of this year i couldn't believe the ****e they were shovelling into that bb house.
Any fool could see there was no chemistry to make the show work.
I thought last year with marcus ,halfwit ,noirin etc was a vintage xear and that made bb11 even worse,

For me the all-stars show will be epic no matter whos in it for the simple fact that the current bb11 is a steaming pile of horse ****e.

If you look at it that way Pat it can only get better from here.

Especially if Marcus roundhouses Mikey on the first day

I am still enjoying it all.
I will wait until I see the outcome before I start to whinge.
I am loving the 4out on Friday, not sure about the vote to evict being any worse or any better to be honest, I can see advantages to both.
It will keep me on my toes a bit more maybe.
I am sorry you feel so bad Patrick. Hoping some of the good ones stay in over the bores and give you a bit of a lift.

RIP, Big Brother.
It could have all been different if just these 5 minor changes were made:

* 16 HMs on launch, all 14 we got but with Sam and Keeley also in at the start. The ones we had could have been so much different with just Keeley and Sam thrown in to the mix.

* A whole 13 week run with Allstars probably being the 2 weeks after that to allow more opportunities for evictions. It would have been great to finally have a tripple eviction at some point but I understand why people are criticising this so late in the game.

* ZERO interferance from the outside world. No Ben's stand up, hell no to Corina nd Andrew's duet, and another no to David Copperfeild. Army guy, no Ignore the obvious entrants, hell no to Jedward, no to the pantomine horse racing, and WTF was with the mariachi during the Taco Hell task? It served NO purpose at all.

* No intervening from BB whenever a HM raises their voice.

* BB should have supplied them with much, much more alcohol.

Now that I'm looking forward to.
I probably sound like an ungrateful bastard to some of you that know how much I wanted Marcus in but because of Mikey it's like I forgot about Marcus going in LOL

If Marcus goes in and Mikey can come out as soon as possible then it's fine but then also sad that BB9 lost out to win, but good I guess that he's out first lol

If this is true, we may have to send Marcus some messages like 'Be sure to push Charley into the pool mate' lol

Kinda like what a mother does before her son goes away on a trip it's like 'And don't forget to contact us every day'

Only we're like 'And Don't forget to insult Big Brother every day '

This year's HMs weren't that bad, they're just not the best. If BB actually gave them alcohol and reasons to celebrate passing tasks then there'd be more fun, flirting and drama. And if BB didn't intervene with arguments then there'd obviously be a lot more. And if Sam and Keeley were thrown in the mix, along with this idea of more alcohol and more tolerance towards arguments, then Shabby and Sam would most likely have kicked off, and Nathan, Ife and so on would have viewed Keeley as the most competative from the start.

It's not been THAT awful and it had the makings to be amazing if minor things were altered.

Jesus, they're putting Mikey back in?!!! NOOOO!!

And yeah I think they screwed this series up too, but no where near as bad as the shambles that was BB10. That was truly the sh!tiest series ever.

But seriously though I think that we should judge UBB after we see the line up? (Do tell me if something has been leaked - haven't been on here in a while) I think we should judge UBB when everything is revealed. but i understand what you're saying about the main BB11 this year though. It has been pretty craptastic but I have to stress not as bad as the pile-o-sh!t BB10.

Sadly, yes.

Something was leaked this morning by the Daily Star that says Mikey is going in, the only BB9 Housemate to go in, horrible choice.

But I was like 'Oh who cares it's the DS how reliable' but then Oddschecker are taking odds on the DS Line up TOO

So it may be true, surely if odds checker do the odds on it then it's true, right guys?

It's not been THAT awful and it had the makings to be amazing if minor things were altered.
Apoloies for accidently posting 3 times ...dam computer.
Anyways i remember seeing alot of fit birds in the line up on opeaning night and instead of putting one in they put a Beyonce lookalike in instead..so tacky!
She didn't work out at all cause there were no guys fighting for attentions and i think every show needs a good female temptress to bring out the side that makes blokes a little pathetic.
Don't even want to talk about steve.
Nathan i can't blame them for as i think he fooled everyone that he was a cheeky chapy but he was a blank in the end.
And Shabby -i think we all knew she was goin to walk before even shabby did.
Govan,lfe - rubbish

I was personally gutted myself and after 2 days of not one single interesting conversation or real incident apart from the mole task i couldn't wait until the fioal.
Andrew-christ!

Also there was no obvious 'bitching' room except the stupid snug ment that it was very one dimensional and limited in appearence space and layout

I am not gonna be devastated no matter who they put for BB9, but To be fair, Mikey is an awful choice. They hAVE TO take care of him because he is blind. Theyve done that for a whole series already! And they had some good characters in BB9, evn the once that annoyed me. I would have chosen anyone between, Rex, Lisa, greedy Mo, Sara, Darnell, and my personal choice woulve been Luke. I hated him, but he would be great in All stars, because he is really entertaining. Darnell, good housemate, but he is too shy, 2 weeks wouldnt be enough for him.

The lineup this year was more like BBs1-5 because they didn't seem as 2-Dimensional or absurd as the BB6-10 lot. Obviously on first appearance Steve had no legs and Rachael was a Beyonce lookalike but they were actually quite normal. She was the only apparent bolshy girl who admitted she wanted magazine deals but she wasn't as ghastly as Charley or Chanelle or Shabnam before her. Rachael and John James' turbulent relationship was dramatic for the first week, and if producers decided to wait until week 2 for the first eviction there could have been plenty more interaction from them.

Steve's presence was always going to be problematic with the sob story/disablitiy side to it but if there'd been more friction and uncomfortablitity he had the potential to rise to it as we saw when he was found up by Ben.

Nathan did appear to be a 'cheeky chappy' which he wasn't lol. Instead he was more irritable and with Sam in the hosue at the same time could have bought out his "Raincloud of doom" sort of quotes and anger a bit more.

Yeah, in retrospect the signs were there that Shabby would walk, and she was quite entertaining. If she and Sam or Keeley were in the hosue together there'd have been all out war before her walking. And then she could quite easily have been replaced by Andrew and Rachel as she was.

Govan stirred a bit of drama in the first 2 weeks, his problem was that's all he did lol. And yeah, Ife was quite quiet. Again, it's just another "What If" situation of watching them try to express themselves in a house with just 2 more people and less restrictions from BB. Ife could have got p!ssed and danced around every night kinda like she did the night she argued with Shabby and Caoimhe, and Dave and Govan could have ripped in to eachother a lot more.

Oh! And the nest is an alright room. BB replaced the bitching areas like the snug and loft for open areas like the log cabin in CBB4 and the bridge to nowhere in BB7, and then abandoned them for smoking areas lol. The nest is a welcome return, and could have been used to its fullest if BB let there be conflict in the house.

This stuff might never have happened and it might be no use saying "If only this is how it turned out", but IMO it had the potential.

So it may be true, surely if odds checker do the odds on it then it's true, right guys?

I would wait and see what the real starting line up is for the UBB before writing it off, I have a funny feeling it may end up a little bit better than the crapfest that has been rumoured so far. Maybe that is just wishful thinking.

Oddschecker will run with available information just so bookies can start to take peoples money, its bookies that oddscheckers gets its odds from, so some bookies have gone on the line ip thats suggested over at DS is all, if someone doesnt go in who they have odds on they should refund the bet.

I wonder if they will have anybody on standby in case any of the UBB housemates walk (say for example if Josie won, went in to UBB but then decide she wanted to be out with JJ1).

Choosing Mickey from BB9 was a wierd one, could have been worse I suppose - Rachel, would be as good as sending Steve back in.
