In 2007, there were calls for the programme to be scrapped after Indian actress Shilpa Shetty, 35, was verbally assaulted by the late Jade Goody.

And BB8 also hit the headlines when posh totty Emily Parr, 21, was sensationally kicked out of the house after using the word “n***er” in a conversation with Charley Uchea, 25.

The latest race explosion happened when Michelle was talking to Victor, 29, gay Brian and “Nasty” Nick Bateman, 42.

Michelle, 29, looked them up and down and said: “It’s blacks and all sorts night tonight.”

As an uneasy silence settled over the house, Brian, 32, tried to make a joke and said: “It’s gays, blacks, villains and divas night.”

Not one of Michelle’s rival housemates complained about either her or Brian’s comments, but BB bosses dragged her in for a telling-off.

Michelle stormed out of the diary room and complained to Brian: “I didn’t say any abusive words. I used the correct terminology and I only said it because you said it and Victor said it.”

Brian replied: “Oh my God, that was just us being silly. We were just joking.

“Michelle, you’ve got nothing to worry about. I wasn’t offended by it because I said it, too. I don’t think it’s that bad.”

Brian was later called into the diary room and warned about his language.

The row led to a debate in the house. Ulrika Jonsson, 43, said: “They want to cover their arses. They can’t have anything upsetting the last series.”

A BB spokesman said: “Brian and Michelle were reminded about the rules regarding unacceptable language.”
thanks for that. Is saying black offensive?
