I thought it was great. Maybe a bit unbelievable but then again most of Derren's shows are, let's be honest.

Regardless of whether it was staged or not, it was a great show and once again Derren delivered.

We said while watching it that we thought it was all one big act, it was very wooden acting by the young guy too, but it kept me gripped just the same.

I've just watched it. It might be fake, it might be real. We'll never know. Derren has delivered yet again and he never fails to get people talking about his shows. I do agree that it was set up, but will it stop me watching next month? Definitely not, and I bet thats the same for loads of people

I read a post on DS earlier where the poster was saying the purpose of it might just've been a motivational show for people with low self confidence.

And you can't argue with the principle of that, really, regardless of whether it's fake or not.

This show was anticlimatic. I realise they wouldn't have actually let some guy land a plane live on TV, and I realise what the message was but it really did not need to be live!

I said this to a few people already that him standing in front of the plane engines was just distracting and the only thing that had a (marginal) impact about being live was when he said "It's 8/9/10 and 11:12pm"

I found the whole thing mildly entertaining but I just couldn't engage with it at all. I just could not suspend my belief long enough to accept that this guy was so malleable and suggestible that he could walk out of his house in the middle of the night, have a conversation with Derren Brown, go back to bed and think it was all a dream.

If Derren Brown had such powers of suggestion he should immediately be seconded to MI5, or be employed by the government as a propaganda minister, or train spies for covert missions or.....you get the picture.

You're right though. I like the premise of it but it wasn't executed that well and him constantly hypnotizing people stretches believability
