Well if you can't appreciate the significance of the fact that the Labour Government took us into a war with the "consent" of the opposition because said opposition had been deceived by a pack of lies about the imminent threat of attack from Iraq, then I can't really be bothered to keep repeating it.

As for the Lib Dems, it is hardly impressive or reassuring, in the context of the situation at that time, that they opposed a course of action being proposed to safeguard the West from attack, since their opposition was not based on any disbelief of Blair, but purely on the party line.
