Ben was beyond doubt the most genuine of housemates, he was also totally honest in his words and actions.

As I have said many times ,he was my choice to aupport from the first 2 days,I never wavered once but sadly in BB the person who should win it, rarely does. but how great to know we will be seeing lost of Ben on TV and likely far more so than not just Josie who won, but more than the rest of the finalists too.

It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I almost feel like crying when I read all this ... you are so right there ... he really is absolutely genuine ... and good hearted ... and loving ... and the best friend anyone could be lucky enough to have ... and FUNNY ...

He will be around for a LONG time ... if there is any justice in the world ...

Most of our crew were actually happy when Ben was evicted - he was being treated very badly by some of the HMs and BB were humiliating him in subtle ways. We just wanted him to be on the outside with genuine friends who would enjoy & appreciate him for who he is, and so he could see how well liked and admired he was by a large support base.

I dont think I speak out of turn when I say how tough it was for UV; as his friend she found his experience in the house very upsetting.

You are absolutely correct in this comment.I wasn't happy he was evicted though, but I do think it was really draining him mentally in there especially with Mario and particularly Mario's dark side.

Mario did have a very dark side when he did'nt get his own way with ben .. and just looking at the way that the producers editing ben in his last week and the punishments they gave him compared to the punishments they gave JJJ showed that the producers knew that ben had a lot of support and they were worried that Ben could beat them. They producers wanted ben gone as soon as they could get rid off him ..

And I didn't even know these guys back then ... only found them when we were already into September ... it was agonising to watch what he was going through in that house ... and I was amazed at his fortitude and forgiveness and grace ... I didn't know he had it in him ... he went up massively in my estimation ... I knew he was warm and witty but thought he was maybe a little shallow ... now I know that he is as deep as the oceans ... I was then only looking on yet ANOTHER forum which seemed to be more or less inhabited only by people who loathed him with a passion ... and I went through terrible agonies ... watching live feed day and night because I didn't want to miss anything ... in case he had a total breakdown when he came out and needed someone to talk it all through with ... and I knew that his family would not be watching it all ... and probably not many of his friends ... so it seemed like an obligation ... and he is SO amazing ... it would seem that he has not been harmed or damaged by the awfulness at all ... he is someone very special indeed ... he really is ...

That was really unnerving and sinister when Mario sat staring, not only ignorant and rude but also rather bizarre to say the least.

Subtle ways ... ? SUBTLE ... ?

When they all had those wigs and clothes on and were making (pitiful) efforts to speak like him and his little face fell ... after he had had the meal and the music and been a little bit happy for the first time ... and they destroyed him all over again ... you call that SUBTLE ... ?

And my heart was breaking for him ...... it was so pathetic to see ... and he really didn't deserve it ... he is the most decent and gentle of men ...

Oh god yes, there were obvious sledgehammer humilations and cruel ones (sadly), but there were also subtle things that we saw, but Ben wouldn't have seen at the time, such as him edited to seem as if he ate cake (the Marie Antionette moment) when Keeley was waiting for the paramedics, things that we saw on LF but were not shown on the highlughts (such as being told he would work out for 7 hours during the Marine Boot camp task). The subtleties were in the edits, in giving the impression he was just a lazy buffoon.

Yup ... you are so right ... so right ...

And actually he was told that he would be doing those press ups for 6-8 hours ... I can prove it ... I texted my son with the information ... I was so aghast ... I mean who could do that ... not even a top sportsman ... and certainly not Ben ... he and my son used to go to the gym together ... and he knows what Ben is capable of in that department (i.e. not a lot ... )
