Oh yes. he set it up onlline for people to 'donate' money to him as he wanted to buy a Davina McCaw parrot (costing around £6k, close to that ifgure anyway). His intention was that x amount of money would go towards buying it (for himself btw), and some of the money raised, would go to charity. Note: with the end result that 'Charity' would get some money, and the fans would have paid for him to have a McCaw worth several thousand pounds.....

Internet forums went ballistic and soon after, he took it down. There was a thread on DS about it at the time, only a few weeks back.

That gives you a measure of this man. Totally self absorbed and up his own arse.

Actually Pyramid the parrot was at a cost of £7800, the site he setup was a charity page on just giving, I never realsed Mario was a charity, I dont remember any apology either when he took it down or statement about refunding any money donated.
