Default Katie Waissel slams hurtful press on Twitter

Katie Waissel has dismissed a report which suggests she plans to quit the UK and move to America as "nonsense".

It was revealed in today's The Sun that the X Factor singer features on South Carolina musician David Reed's new album under her pseudonym Lola Fontaine and apparently plans to leave Britain for a US career.

However, the 24-year-old took to Twitter this morning to call on the press to leave her alone.

"I have to laugh, apparently now i'm 'fleeing' to the US! (sic)" she wrote. "c'mon give us a break!!"

She added: "Stop writing all this nonsense!! it hurts!!"

Waissel survived her fourth judges' sing-off last night against Aiden Grimshaw.
