I thought that was a brilliant episode , loved the card at the end

I am really really disappointed with the story involving Bart.

Tonight's E4 episode.

Spoiler:

Dom is the one who started the fire, he is the reason Steph & Mal are dead. I don't buy this 'all blame Bart' crap. Bart is a silly school kid who went too far in a prank with Dom. They are trying to say he was bullying Dom, it happened in a matter of hours, hardly bullying.

It feels cheap and desperate to create more drama from the fire. Bart didn't force Dom to star the fire, in fact Bart had nothing to do with the fire. Dom thought he could generate an insurance claim to help his brother out. Bart is young, Dom is an adult and works for the police albeit not a real copper, but someone who should know better.

It seems the village are letting Dom get away with it and using Bart as a target.

Hollyoaks star Anthony Quinlan has hinted that Tom Cunningham could be at the centre of a custody battle in a forthcoming storyline.

Tom's guardian Steph Roach died in the soap's Il Gnosh blaze earlier this month, leaving the youngster's future uncertain as Quinlan's character Gilly and the rest of Steph's loved ones struggle to cope with her passing.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Quinlan admitted: "Everyone keeps asking me if Gilly's going to be the one to look after Tom.

"It's not a foregone conclusion, though, and there are going to be a few twists and turns where his custody is concerned. There could be quite a battle ahead!"

Last month, Tom's half-sister Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) arrived back in the village and tension developed when she told Steph's mother Frankie (Helen Pearson) that she wanted to start taking care of him.

Since then, however, Mandy has been caught up in the drama of Warren Fox's (Jamie Lomas) return and her intentions as far as Tom is concerned are currently unclear.

Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed that she is pleased to be exploring an edgier side to her Hollyoaks character Mandy Richardson.

The actress's alter ego made a surprise comeback in mysterious circumstances last month, but viewers have since discovered that she is in a relationship with fellow returnee Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and is helping him with his sinister schemes.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Dunn commented: "At the moment she's come back and she's causing loads of trouble. It's quite nice because they put a different spin on the character.

"When they asked me back they said, 'This is what the storyline is going to be', and I said, 'Brilliant, it sounds loads of fun'. It's totally unexpected, I think, for everyone watching."

Although Dunn will appear in a production of Peter Pan at The Lowry theatre in Salford throughout December, she said that her Hollyoaks filming commitments will resume in the New Year.

"I'm actually back for a little while again - I'll be returning after I've done the show at The Lowry next year as well," she explained. "So I'm looking forward to a few more storylines."

Totally agree. Dom is a grown man for gods sake, not some little wimpy kid. Bart shouldn't even be involved in that storyline. He is a rubbish actor and character, hate the fact they're always bringing random McQueens in. They're getting a bit much now. Also the Jason/Jasmin thing is getting stupid as well.

I agree with your comment about the McQueens. They came into Hollyoaks in a big way and have long been a favourite family of mine. That said I think the producers know how great the McQueens have been to the show, but are in danger of overkill. All major story-lines they seem to be throwing the McQueens in for that extra mile.

I feel Emmerdale did the same thing with the Dingles, thankfully the Dingles are on a back burner and i hope they stay there for some time.

Both soaps are aware of how popular these families are and it shows whenever a McQueen or Dingle leaves, they have to rush in to bring in a new character with the family name.

Too much of a good thing isn't always a healthy way to go.

The problems with the changing of recent editing/storylines explained.

The decision to insert the special episode into the schedules means soap bosses have to had make last-minute changes to their storylines and to planned episodes, but they promise the results will be worth it.

Series producer Paul Marquess said: "Hollyoaks is one of the most relevant and contemporary long-running dramas currently on British screens and in order to ensure it remains the most cutting edge youth production, we have been making some exciting changes to immediate episodes.

"Unfortunately this has meant that some of the press and listings information has been incorrect but we hope that audiences have enjoyed the twists, turns and exciting new plots."

I think Hollyoaks will bring Lisa Hunter back next year, Lee's back and they could easily think of a way to bring her back despite the shooting of Ben.. plus Gemma has said she wants to do acting again and I reckon she would want to work under Paul Marquess.

All is going to be explained about how Warren escaped the fire in a special episode on 1st December so I presume during or after that episode unless they plan to leave it a long after.

As for Gilly I have no clue but it is nice to see that side to him IMO as he's always been such a drip and pushover.
