Without being shouted down?, I personally like them both and obviously everyone has different tastes but it seems to me certain acts can be criticised but when a certain acts get it hell hath no fury.

Wrong.

People can hate Cher all they like, but they go WAY OTT about it and make up these faily nicknames for her and her mentor to try and be funny but they fall flat on their arses.

Why can't Cher haters just be normal and say why they don't like her and we can all discuss that without things getting closed?

I realise I'm not one to talk about making up Nicknames and having OTT hate for acts because of the way I act with One Erection, I mean Direction.

But that's not the same because I very rarely post about X Factor or One Erection, whilst every day on here is the same with people constantly insulting Cher fans and her and every little thing she does.

Sure they can hate her but don't be blaming Cher FANS for trying to cause arguments, it's the ridiculous haters who can't come up with a constructive thing to say about Cher other than calling her names left right and centre.

I'm fairly neutral with cher, so dont quite understand how some can hate her so much whilst not getting the over the top love either.

not sure how I worded that but was grouping the lesser singing talents together. Katie is almost a dictionary definition of 'mediocre',

I just think it's a shame that the two people in the competition who have reasonable singing voices are also the two dullest ones. They have zero charisma which, let's face it, is what the X Factor is all about. Having said that, so long as Cher or One Direction don't win, it'll be a result.

Did anyone catch that weird expression on Cheryl's face when Rebecca went through ahead of her pets Cher and Katie? She wants her out so that her mini me has the best chance.

I think Matt and Rebecca are fair game for a bit of criticism.

Rebecca was pretty poor this weekend and has lost a little of her magic these past couple of weeks. The comments from the judges, however, are making out she is on great form, not Rebecca's fault, but a bit of balance is certainly needed in her case.

I think Matt's Night's in White Satin was one of the performances of the series, and he didn't destroy the song like he usually does by trying out his own melodies to showcase his range. Trouble with Matt is if his ego grows any bigger it will probably explode.

I agree with your, 'Of course',...I'll also say that I don't see why people can't put up their comments when they aren't in favour of a contestant - why on earth wouldn't you be allowed. Course it's allowed - if it wasn't, this forum would just be one huge Fan Club, which it isn't.

It's when people can't stick to the subject - the contestant, and discuss them, (regardless if they are a fan or not of said contestant), but resort to personally insulting forum members, name calling, being completely rude directly to the forum member and being utterly disrespectful to another fm: that's what stops any reasonable discussion. That's why it all goes pair shaped.

We all have different opinions, that's what makes the world a less boring place to live.
