You do? At least some use a comma when it's required.

A good laugh can be had with this kind of thing, as long as people don't take it overly serious!

As I mentioned a few posts back, if you are going to be overly smart, make sure you are completely beyond reproach. There should be a 'comma' in your first sentence.
I'm not the one starting a thread about it, am I?

Also, yes, as well is two separate words, thank you.

Also, the comma is used for clarity. It makes perfect sense without a comma so it isn't needed.

Spelt and spelled are both acceptable.

Spelt and spelled are both acceptable.

All I did was point out your own errors. Both your sentences were incorrect. The one referring to Stacey was poorly executed in many ways!

Commas aren't used for 'clarity'. They are used for a whole variety of reasons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma

The 'spelt/spelled' is only a slight issue as the British prefer one version, the Americans another. Similar to 'authorise' / 'authorize'. Technically, both are correct, it simply depends on the UK/USA English versions.

"aswell" is actually one word... but it depends like in what way you said it.

eg. I like him aswell.

I don't get it as well as he does.

If that makes sense

I can't stand spelling/grammar Nazis

It really annoys me, even more-so when they make the same mistakes themselves as what they moan about

Wrong.

It is two words, not one. Honestly, it is two words!

Oh, no one is perfect but a little bit of effort sometimes goes a long way. There's nothing worse than someone picking up every single little error, every time someone writes something - but given the nature of this very thread, that will inevitably happen on this thread. Some of which has been funny along the way.

As I said in my first post, it doesn't bother me. I am more taken aback at the lack of knowledge in general.

I can't moan about anyone's grammar or anything, given the amount of full stops I use for no reason...

I don't know if the swear filter will kick in, but this was part of the reason that I started the thread. If the filter kicks in, the word that was meant to be used was, 'can't'. However, the accent the person has, she has typed as she speaks, and that makes it sound like something VERY different!
