Absolutely,I know its just a soap but really, if there's as yet been no retrial or appeal heard, she would maybe be let out but with strict conditions,she would have had to have an address to reside at and they and the people who lived there would have had to agree to that address too.

Also she would have been allowed likely access to her daughter but in the light of the fact that her conviction may not be overturned on appeal, no way would she be allowed to take her daughter back to permanent residence with her, due to the fact this could cause emotional distress to a minor and also create an instability to the minor too until the conviction was ( if it was) overturned.

Loved Rita singing though, they should have done it sooner, Corrie fans would have likely had her number one for Christmas if they had.

I have a suspicion it might be true just because I get the feeling that even though Katherine Kelly loves it at Corrie she wants to try new things as it's easy to be typecast in similar roles if she stayed too long and wants to play different characters.
