Done the marriage, got the house, got the animal, got the nice garden, didnt want the kids, (ie;didnt have any!!), and life is good.

I sometimes look at my friends and think they're all terribly grown up and sensible with their houses/mortgages/kids/PTA meetings etc and thenI realise that I must appear the same as them, but inside I still feel the same as I did at 18 but just with a bit more responsibility.

You can still have fun and youth with kids..

I never yearned to get married, and never craved children. I was engaged four times before finally getting married. I had two children, and four miscarriages, was married to a controlling, domineering abuser who caused me much misery, but I never regretted the fact that he gave me my children, and now a grandson. Something wonderful came out of something terrible.

Everyone has to find their own purpose and meaning in life and I never knew what mine was till I had my children. They made sense of my life, and are the only reason I am still here. I don't judge those who don't want or need children - better not to have them if they are not wanted. We only get to make the journey once, and there is no turning back, so you have to be sure you've taken the right road.

What's to be bitter... I had a choice!!! .... and going by some of the other comments on here,I'm not alone in not wanting to have children one of the best decisions I personally made. But feel free to keep harassing me and picking up on my posts only.......
