It's an endearing Yorkshire term. Nothing to be embarrassed by. Can't see how "Loves ya babby, see you later" would be harder on her in any way.......

I was meaning the thoughts in your head - I know you would never purposely show her up in front of the teens by something not local and usual mum/daughter!

Weans.... even up to I was in my mid 30's..... my parents (they were alive then), still used to refer to me as 'the wean' ....
