I have had a few bans from there over the years some for the most stupid reasons, and only one I deemed I deserved. I closed my account there last year after being a member there since 2002, can't say I miss the place though. I can stilll read there, and don't get drawn into the debates as I can't obviously, but because of that my perspective on a lot of the threads and posts there has changed some because of not getting drawn into sometimers rather silly debates, and I often read and laugh at a lot of the posts now and can't believe I let myself get so caught up in it all. For all it's faults this site might have it is more free and easy for the members

Have been a member for many years but somehow i've never been banned. The mods may be harsh on there now but it's much better than it was, say, five years ago when a lot of bullying went on and alerts were ignored if your face didn't fit (which mine definitely didn't).

It's ridiculous as to why you have to pay - you could easily register with AOL or Hushmail, though. They are horribly strict, but the site has certainly improved since, say, four or five years ago.
