No I've only borrowed it from my friend atm. Ima buy GTA for myself tonight though.
I was thinking of getting the Ballad of Gay Tony, but my mate said if I got the DLC and he didn't, it'd stop us from playing online together? D;

It would stop you playing together, but tbh - it's worth it.
Infact tell your friend to just buy it aswell, it's only like 20 Quid I think. It's far more entertaining than GTA 4, It's so depressing and dull [GTA 4] and BOGT is a completely different Ball Game. The weapons and cars and the feel of the game - playing that online is sweet but the only down point is online now there's always tons of hackers that ruin it for everyone, that happens on GTA IV too - and Microsoft don't ******ing do anything. But yeah I mean you can see an amazing difference here: Spoiler: And here it is Online: Spoiler: Skip to 3:46

Niall I hope you got what I meant by posting the GTA IV trailer at the end btw
The part where he's like, 'So - You in big guy? Or we gonna have to kill ya? x' Was a reference to trying to convince you join the BOGT Players lol.

I didn't really find BOGT all that different. It's got parachutes and more crazy guns and missions yeah but it's still stuck in that horrible, tank control of a game engine and they still didn't remove the 'hold in a button to run' feature.
The mechanics of it are the exact same as GTA IV. Not that that's totally a bad thing it's just not a good mayhem game. Especially when Just Cause, Saints Row and Prototype are all on the market. Given that - and as much as I like it - I still prefer the original far more. The story in GTA IV felt like a really long journey rather than just a few weeks in the life of a club manager or greasy biker. Last edited by Stu; 25-06-2011 at 01:03 PM. |

What Rockstar did with Gay Tony, was return to the way the game was back in Vice City and San Andreas and got rid of the whole 'Realism' feature. How can you say it's not a Mayhem game? Look at those pictures. It certainly is, far more than GTA IV. I haven't played Just Cause although I'd like to, Prototype - fair enough. But it's definitely a great game to just go bonkers in, not as much as you could in SA or VC but it's almost there. Lost and Dammed was awesome though, c'mon? Honestly the storyline might not of been 'as deep' as IV but Rockstar did an amazing job tieing BOGT and TLAD in with GTA IV - and the missions themselves within Gay Tony and Lost and Dammed, piss all over the missions in GTA IV. They were so much fun to do, particularly BOGT. I think the best mission TLAD had was that 'Prison Break' one where you need to drive the bus to the other side of town whilst being attacked by Police - doesn't sound appealing but it was a blast.

Watching all the stuff about Skyrim made me start playing Oblivion again, I didnt realised how far I'd gotten on it before, I'd alfready played 70 hours and was a pretty high level so I did the last few missions pretty easily and I've completed it now, gonna keep playing though. Playing quite a bit of Football Manager on the PC as well atm

I probably enjoyed Lost more than BOGT actually as far as missions and story go. It was a very old school, no nonsense kind of story. They didn't try and make you think your character was a good guy. His just a thug. |

The Orange Box is so good. Best deal in gaming even though I don't find that Half Life 2 universe that exciting. Still all solid games.
Team Fortress is all about 2fort. It's a one map game. It's so simple and brilliant. |
