I've only just started the second one now and hadn't read the first when I was watching the show.

It will probably ruin the twists and things but it explains the storylines and characters a lot better than the show has. And every time I googled something to do with the show there would be a spoiler in the suggested search bar.. So I'd rather read it in the book and be shocked than read it on the internet and be pissed off about ruining it

Ok cheers, I think I'll give it a read then. I've also just realised that the guy who plays Tyrion played the little boss guy in Elf, I was trying to remember where I recognised him from the whole time
