Says a lot about James Cameron really. Ridley Scott's Alien was a horror movie and as much as I still liked AlienS Cameron did thrust it in to th action direction rather than horror. At least Alien 3 and AVP2 tried to be more like horror movies, Resurrection and AVP1 were just typical action movies. The franchise just fell apart after Aliens because it didn't know which direction to go in.

If they wanted to do a third one they could have left the door a little open.
BTW, would you rather have a 5th terminator movie or a remake of the original because clearly they're going to try and squeeze more money out of the franchise by making another one. I'd rather have a remake of the original because the story is getting too complex and confusing for its own good.

Another movie's been confirmed with Arnie in it but I think it's still up for debate whether it'll be a remake, T5, or even T3. As much as I actually wouldn't mind seeing a movie very similar to the basic first one, being a horror rather than action movie, I don't think it can be successfully remade because A) remakes rarely ever are, B) apart form Scream 4 I don't remember what genuinely last good horror movie I saw, and C) T2 was so big and successful I don't think it can be ignored. If the original Temrinator was remade then the writers, director and producers would probably want to seed bits of T2 in to it like how the Friday 13th remake was actually a mix of the first 4 films and Rob Zombie's Halloween had plot elements of the original Halloween 2 in it.
