I feel so so so so so lucky to even HAVE a new series of BB to look forward to!

This time last year i was preparing to say goodbye to it forever!

And i did essentially!

I said goodbye to channel 4, goodbye to davina, goodbye to the show in its current incarnation!

This is why im embracing ALL these changes.

It had obviously all gotten a bit stale, many on here calling for these changes for years and years!

We finally have it! We have a fresh, new, exciting BB to look forward to!

While its sad the old BB identity is gone, im excited to see to see an entirley new identity on CH5

ITS JUST the shake up we need

And who knows maybe we'll get another 10 years of laughs and drama

But the thing is they have made the mistake of old housemates which will mean its constantly compared to channel 4. And so far its despicable in comparison.
The eye is horrible and I cannot see any new viewers being drawn to the show with that ****ty graphic.

i agree ive been calling for these changes for a few years now so has everyone eles, this big brother is going to be diffrent fresh an new, i can for once expect the unexpected! at the end of the day when i was in school it was amazeing now im 22 its very old an theres a new genoration of teens out there now big brother has to change for it to stay around for another 10 years an we oldys have just got to get on with the change.

True and at the end of the day we always have the old series to look back on for the memories and rewatch and know that they happened it's not as if we'll all forget the old times.

At the end of the day, thats all it is! A graphic. graphic does not a good show make!

I said in an earlier thread that this is STILL BBUK so why shouldnt they aknowledge the ex housemates from previous series!

Nice to see a positive thread for a change. I too am glad we've got it back - and in (what hopefully) is a new and fresh format.
I don't mind ex-HMs being involved, in fact I think links to the past are essential.
It would have been so easy for CH5 to start completely from scratch and ignore everything that CH4 did, but this way they keep the franchise alive whilst at the same time freshening it up.

And the eye is good IMO, as is the choice of presenter. I'm really looking forward to it. My only gripe is that we kick off with the celebrity version, but that's just a minor complaint - after all beggars can't be choosers and we could so easily not have had BB at all.

i hate how people moan that there is no news but when i comes all they do is complain about it! tbh i prefer the eye! all c5 are doing is giving bb a fresh new look! it has had that eye for 10 years now! we needed the change

I totally agree with everything the OP says.

This board has become far too negative, everything slated as soon as it appears.

I like the look and feel of it so far. C5 are headed in the right direction.

Big Brother is one of the best series on TV. When i found out it was ending last year and i'd just started watching it i was gutted. When i found out it was back i was just WOWOWOWOWOOWOW. The Eye has grown on me and I've got to say i don't mind it I think it's a great new start for Channel 5.

Exactly, if it was staying on C4 this year and they gave us that eye over the eatock template i'd have been pissed off! But now we can't just expect everything to be the same we need change.

If BB fans want C5 to keep the show they need to shut the **** up complaining about it or they'll bin it off like C4 did.

Totally agree with all of you, at least we have got BB back, we should all embrace the changes, as is everyone has said BB was getting really stale on C4.

I agree with you totally, I can't count how many times I've read over the last few years people wanting it "back to basics" and now we're (supposedly) getting it there's negativity.

I love the eye and how it reflects the "straight to the point" view 5 are taking on the series, no gimmicks.
