I'm not dismissive of threats. It's just that, coming from east London, which has always been multicultural, I experienced far less racism and far-right thinking there than I experience now, 100 miles from London. I think that the threat comes more from places where minorities are a bit of a mystery and people make racist comments, casually, in the village pub, and think it's both clever and acceptable.

Hi Livia, yeah that's fair enough, I'm from such a place myself, pretty rural and the vast majority are white and casual racism can be quite prominent, even if people don't necessarily realise it
