How can a pointless thread, as you have said yourself you feel a thread is: be allowed to be bumped - given that there that thread has been deemed pointless.

I find the rule is unclear and I'm still no further informed than I was way back from post one.

On a side note to Michael: the one thing I will say is: if you are bumping threads then deleting your posts - it's neither big nor clever. It's actually a very good way to antagonise and annoy people.
