I'm not sure how changing Big Brother's unique production style to a generic modern one is going to attract new viewers. With a production style like every other reality show out there Big Brother will be exposed for the large amount of non event that it actually is.

I'm not knocking the show but it's previous production style made the whole sitting around thing charming and made it incredibly meaningful and exciting when something did happen. Now my line of thinking is ... well I can just go and watch Jersey Shore. Same production style but with better characters and more than happens in ten minutes than on three months of Big Brother.

Celebrity might rate if they get the right names but Big Brother 12 is already in the toilet. Someone just needs to flush it.

Its in the toilet because? Like it has been said, not everyone watches the live feed and it isn't the most important aspect of the show. I know you want the choice but still. We will see how the highlights show goes. It could turn out not to be anything like that essex show.

Never mentioned the feed, chief.

My reasons for why I think it's in the toilet are all in that post you quoted.

I think you have a few times though?

I know you might think it could be a soap sort of style about it but am i the only one who actually thought that was what the last 3-4 BBs had been like? The editing, the story line creating etc. I still watched it.

Yeah? But not in this discussion. Not in the post you quoted.

That's not what the last three of four were like. Just last year. And that was bad enough. They're making a point of saying here that it is being taken to a whole new level.

As for the feed I don't think you have to have it or else the show is doomed. My beef lies with those stupid arguments you tend to repeatedly give that it's pointless, stupid, mostly bird noises and that you 'agree with Channel 5' and there decision to remove it.

By all means not like it yourself but removing the option is about as mentally retarded as a television boardroom decision could possibly get. Removing it isin't smart, removing it isin't conductive to anything and no good could come of it.

It doesn't make the show though. It can still get good ratings on Channel 5 with the highlights show. It doesn't need live feed.
