You think many anorexics choose to be so ...... many stem not from a natural or unnatural desire: but due to a whole host of psychological reasons arisen by situations / environmental factors which may have been forced upon them.

I'm sorry to say this as I don't do it very often, but for you to say what you have in these respects, has to be one of the most ignorant things I have read for a long time.

I also think this. maybe not in the later stages (IE. when they are going to die if they dont eat, I do believe that after a few months or so the anorexia takes over) but certainly in the early stages.
